The Colorado Avalanche topped the San Jose Sharks 5-3 in a blowout-turned-close-game. How did the players grade out?

Let's go to the board.

Mark Barberio (C+) - Barberio snagged an assist on Rantanen's full frontal deflection and it was a good job of getting the puck through a sea of bodies. Beyond that, he continued his strong play in his own end. I had no issues with his game tonight.

Jonathan Bernier (A) – Bernier was the man tonight and the main reason the Avalanche walked out with two points. He stood tall in the third period in the face of a relentless San Jose assault and made huge save after huge save. The only thing preventing him from getting the extra plus him giving up three goals. No blame to him or anything; he was excellent and a one-man highlight reel.
