Hey fellas. Can’t wait for the season to begin. Any updates on that pizza party and t-shirts?

Alright, so the offseason is behind us (besides the meaningless fourth preseason game). How do your predictions for the AFC West now compare to your predictions before Training Camp started?

I also have a confession to make.

In the last pod when you brought up “#6” referring to Cutler I was briefly very confused.

For a second I thought to myself, “Bubby Brister?”

Sticking with WR, do you think DT will be let go if the connection between Sanders and Keenum holds up? Especially if we can get Sutton continuing to progress?

How do we fit all the talent from the LB crew? I would really like to see Holland stick but I don’t think we will have room for 5 OLB, what are your thoughts in that crowded room of LB’s?

I wasn’t expecting my question about the coaching to cause so much ire. I will switch gears and talk about something else so that I don’t draw Ryan’s wrath again. 🙂

Over the years the Broncos have had some amazing talent at Wide Receiver. The likes of Steve Watson, Ricky Nattiel, Mark Jackson, Vance Johnson, Haven Moses, Rick Upchurch. In more recent years the Broncos were blessed with the likes of Rod Smith, Ed McCaffrey, Marshal, Decker, the list continues.

These days we are spoiled to have the likes of DT, and Sanders along with Sutton, and Patrick who I absolutely believe will make the squad. Here is my question in two parts.

Part one: Out of our current wideouts who do you see as the standout, go to receiver moving forward with Keenum throwing the ball?

Part two: If you had to take a shot in the dark, without being able to predict the future, which of these Receivers do you think has the best shot at securing a spot on the ring of fame (If any).

I think you could make a case for DT by stats alone, but some in the Broncos community think he’s overrated.

On a side note: I’m loving the Adam Jones signing. Much like Cravens we paid very little for a player that has a lot of upside. It’s the little moves like this that make me think we could have a decent season this year.

Just chiming in with my 2 cents, I think DT is as deserving as anyone. He’s set (active) records for consecutive 1000 yard seasons, he’s closing in on being the franchise leader for yards, he’s been a part of 2 SB bound teams, with one title. I’ve never understood the “hate” to him. He’s had a few frustrating crucial drops over the years, but his body of work is on par with the best the franchise has ever had, and ranks near the top in the league. Plus he’s battled through injuries; dude just gives his all for his team. Don’t think he’ll get the RoF just because it’s saturated at this point, but he’s definitely deserving even if he retired today.
