DENVER — The timing is perfect. The dialogue is perfect.
Coincidence? Perhaps. A sign of what’s to come? Perhaps, as well.
One thing that’s clear: a path for Kirk Cousins to end up in the Mile High City donning Orange & Blue in just over two months is becoming more and more straightforward.
On a cold and dreary day at the Washington Redskins’ end of season press conference, head coach Jay Gruden opened eyes around the country when he talked about his Pro Bowl quarterback as if he was some run-of-the-mill guy.
“Kirk had his flashes where he was really good,” Gruden said. “He did some great things, threw for over 4,000 yards and  touchdowns. He's a very, very good quarterback without a doubt.”
