As the Denver Broncos try to figure out their quarterback situation this offseason, plenty of attention will be given to Josh Allen—Wyoming's talented but erratic quarterback—who reminds some of Paxton Lynch.

Sure, they’re both big armed, athletic gun-slingers from small Division-I schools, but Lynch and Allen are far from the same quarterback or NFL prospect.

The biggest difference between the two is the brand of offense they played in college, as Allen’s had the big advantage of playing in a pro-style system and is often used under center. He’s actually done some of his best work from under center, though unlike Lynch “his best work” has come in very brief spurts—flashes, really.
