DENVER — It’s no secret that the quarterback position is the most important position in all of sports.

It’s also no secret how you get one: use a premium draft pick, show them the money—as Cuba Gooding Jr. most famously said in "Jerry Maguire"—or both.

Finally, it’s no secret that the Denver Broncos are desperately searching for their franchise signal caller.

“The number one goal is we know we have to get better at that position,” John Elway said vehemently at the conclusion of the Broncos’ first losing season during his tenure as general manager. “I think there is no doubt we have to get better at that position. For us to have a chance to get better [as a team], we have to get better at that position.”

The upcoming divisional round of the NFL playoffs show not only the importance of the position, but indicate the Broncos are in a great spot to land their man of the future.
