Nikola Jokic had it going against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday. Unfortunately for the Nuggets, none of his teammates did. Jokic made 8-13 shots and scored 23 points, his highest output since Dec. 22. The rest of Denver's roster combined to score 57 points on 21-70 shooting.
The Nuggets fell to the Spurs 112-80. San Antonio came into the game second in defensive efficiency. It was also Denver's third game in four nights. Even so, what stuck out was how sluggish the Nuggets looked on the offensive end.
As a team, Denver shot 29-83 from the field — barely making a third of its attempts. Saturday's game marked the fourth time the Nuggets were held under the 100-point mark in 2018. Last season from Dec. 15 on, they were held under the century mark a grand total of five times.
