These solo casts just suck, what’s the point? Theres no discussion, no debate. Just one person verbally repeating what happened. Not even worth doing

With Barrie being a beast lately the trade Barrie tide has been receding but what at this point what kind of contract will he be in line for? What is the shortest realistic term because having him a few more years would be awesome but what is the projection for 34-35 year old Barrie?

With all the talk about secondary scoring could you give us some comparables of good/bad secondary scoring teams so we can have some data points and stop just yelling secondary scoring into the void?

Hejduk and Pavel Bure. To think what Bure would’ve been able to do without all the hooking and holding of the 90s. 🤔🤔

Podcast Question: Avs shots heatmaps seem to consistently show most shots down low coming from the left side. Do you think that’s related to the preponderance of left handed forwards, and is this something that other teams adjust for?
    Thanks, and love the coverage!!

Great question, and I think the answer is yes.

I’ve noticed teams trying to get under Mackinnon’s skin with the physical play. I’m not saying they need to bring in a Cody McLeod type, but do you think the Avs might look to add some grit to the line up?

Why don’t we see more players take 1-2 year deals with contending teams for less money rather than just cash out with an on team that might have a chance, I understand job security and not moving is a big factor but a guy like Duchene could go to a Winnipeg team for say a 1 year 5 mill deal just to go for it with a contending team

Bednar still seems to be leaning heavily on his top line (well above 20+ minutes a game – unless it’s a blowout like @ Kings/Yotes)..

I’ve noticed that this eventually results in some of sloppy play/mistakes in the D-zone (Mack in particular) that lead to turnovers and scoring chances (which they could’ve burned on a lot more).- obviously because they’re gassed…

With the improved play of the rest of the bottom 9F – should Bednar start reducing the top line usage overall to balance the minutes out and keep the top line “fresher” throughout the game?

    Thanks!

Does this team actually need anything right now? Honestly with a fully healthy team (currently) we’ve been playing well. Is it worth messing with our lineup/chemistry right now?

Podcast Question: If you could pick any player that played a majority of their career in 90s/early 2000s to play in todays style of NHL, who would it be? How about one Avs player and one non-Avs player. Thanks!
